Sin contrariar a ninguno en absoluto, contiene ingredientes que podrán corroborar y enriquecer a cualquier buen sistema. Se parte de la figura que nos proporciona Hechos 1:13, en la cual vemos a un grupo de discípulos que moran en un lugar alto. Sus vidas y ejemplos sirven de atracción e inspiración a otros para que se dispongan a subir a ese lugar alto en que ellos ya están. Así se construye una escalera imaginaria, pero muy práctica, de 25 peldaños, que se van tratando en forma progresiva. Cada uno de ellos representa una virtud, cualidad o capacidad que se ha de encontrar en todo buen discípulo. Se ameniza intercalando ejemplos ilustrativos sobre aspectos básicos y elementales, pero en la medida que se van escalando posiciones, la tónica del libro cobra facetas más altas y encumbradas. Estas y el capítulo final -El álbum de fotografías- podrán servir de desafío o inspiración aun para siervos ya formados y experimentados.

This book is not just another discipleship manual but rather, as the cover indicates, presents a unique focus that is easily applied to any good system of discipleship. Without contradicting any christian teaching, this book contains ingredients that may corroborate and enrich any good discipleship system. The author begins with the example provided in Acts 1:13, where we a group of determined disciples are found praying in the upper room. Their lives and examples serve to motivate and inspire others to commit themselves to join them in that upper place of prayer. The author paints a picture of a staircase that, although metaphorical, is very real and practical. He describes 25 steps that when put into practice progressively build on each other. Each step represents a virtue, quality or ability that is found in any good disciple. Lively anecdotes illustrating basic but foundational principles are interspersed throughout. However, as the reader advances through the steps of the narrative the tone changes and the narrative advances to higher, more complex concepts. These illustrations, culminating with the final chapter, "The Photograph Album," serve to challenge and inspire all disciples, even those who are already consider themselves mature and experienced.
